Step-by-Step Guide: How to Register for the PCN PEP Exam (2026 Edition)

Step-by-Step Guide: How to Register for the PCN PEP Exam (2026 Edition)

The window for the Pre-Registration Examination for Pharmacists (PEP) is now open. For many, this is the final hurdle before becoming a Licensed Pharmacist. However, registration errors can lead to accreditation delays or even disqualification.

Quick Tip: Ensure you have your Provisional Registration Number and your Preceptor’s License details ready before you begin. You may not be able to edit your details once the final submit button is clicked!

Phase 1: Accessing the Portal

Visit the official registration home page at www.pcnmcpd.com/pep/. If the primary link is slow due to high traffic, use the alternative link: pep.pcnmcpd.com.

The home page will display the current examination month if registration is active. Click on "Register" to begin.

Phase 2: Remita Payment (Step One)

The portal integrates directly with Remita. You have two options:

  • New Registration: Input your name, email, and phone number to generate a fresh RRR.
  • Existing RRR: If you already generated a code but haven't finished, input your RRR and phone number in the second column to continue.

Payment Methods:

PCN accepts payments via Remita. You can choose:

  1. Bank Teller: Generate the RRR, print it, and pay at any commercial bank. You must return to the portal to input the successful RRR details.
  2. Debit Card (Recommended): Use a Master Card or Visa for instant confirmation. You will receive an OTP—enter it within 10 minutes to avoid session timeout.

Phase 3: Data Entry (Step Two)

Once payment is confirmed, the page loads the main registration form. Accuracy here is non-negotiable. You will need:

Intern Details: Address, School, Year of Graduation, Provisional Reg No, and Certificate of Experience No.
Preceptor Details: Name, Designation, License No, Reg No, Year of Qualification, Email, and Phone.

*Foreign graduates should specify their school; Nigerian graduates should enter "NIL" in the foreign school field.

Registered? Now, Let's Pass!

Don't let your registration fee go to waste. Join 2,400+ interns using the RxHustle Mock Exam App to simulate the real PCN CBT environment.

Phase 4: The Passport Upload (Step Three)

The PCN portal features an excellent built-in cropping tool. Follow these specs for a "no-fail" upload:

  • Dimensions: 250×250 or 300×300 pixels.
  • File Size: Must be strictly under 100kb.
  • Quality: Crop until you hit exactly 300×300 for the best clarity on your exam slip.

Final Submission

After uploading, the portal displays a summary of your demographics. Double-check your name spelling and exam center. Once you click "OK" on the final popup, your data is locked and difficult to edit. The page will then redirect you back to the home page, signifying a successful registration.

Final Tips:

  • Use a Cyber Cafe if your phone browser is unstable.
  • MasterCards generally have a higher success rate on Remita.
  • Practice timing yourself—the real PEP gives you only < 36 seconds per question!
